His Excellency Budi Bowoleksono, Ambassador from Indonesia to the United States

H.E. Budi Bowoleksono will share his insights on the nation's foreign policy priorities, including the US-Indonesia relationship.

Indonesia is the biggest country we tend to know the least about: It is the 4th largest country on earth, 3rd largest Democracy behind India and the United States and has a Muslim population exceeding that of all the Middle East.   Come meet and hear from the country’s Ambassador, HE Budi Bowoleksono, about the exciting prospects for continued economic growth, our shared values of democratization and pluralism and Indonesia’s importance in ensuring geopolitical stability throughout Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific.

Ambassador Budi Bowoleksono is currently the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the United States of America. He presented his letters of credence to the President on May 21, 2014. Prior to assuming his present assignment, Ambassador Bowoleksono was the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

Previously, Ambassador Bowoleksono served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Kenya in Nairobi (2008-2010), which also covers Seychelles, Mauritius, Uganda, UNEP, and UNHCR.
